Tata Platinum Jubilee Conf 2017

Tata Memorial Center celebrated its Platinum Jubilee with a Conf in Mumbai, Jan 27-29, 2017 at The Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Colaba, Mumbai.

The theme of the Conf “Is Health a Basic Human Need or a Commodity” was a collaboration between TMC, The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Tata Trust and Harvard School of Public Health.

The World’s leading thinkers and experts on Cancer attended. The Keynote address was given by Bharat Ratna Awardee Dr Amartya Sen.

As part of the Conf a special session was held on “ ROLE OF NGOS AND CSR – BRIDGING GAPS AND REDUCING IN INEQUALITIES”. Mrs. Devieka Bhojwani, Vice-President, Womens Cancer Initiative- Tata Memorial Hospital was invited as a Speaker, along with Nihal Kaviratne, Founder, St Jude India ChildCare Centres, Rumana Hamied, Founder,CEO CIPLA Foundation , Harmala Gupta, Founder, CanSupport, R Venkataramanan, Managing Trustee, Sir Dorabji Tata Trust and Vandana Gupta, Founder, V Care.
